become a virtual assistant in Nigeria

Hi, I'm Grace - The Introvert VA

I created this Virtual Assistant Training because there is SO much information out there about how to become a Virtual Assistant, but very little on how to become a Virtual Assistant in Nigeria. Some of these information are good and some NOT. Some are just plain fluff that don’t teach you the actual stuff. And I know how overwhelming trying to figure out the basics of how to get started, get clients and earn money as a Virtual Assistant can be.

DO ANY OR ALL OF THESE RESONATE WITH YOU?

Got a paid job but stuck financially

… and could use some extra cash and thinking of other ways to make money with your skills/expertise so that you can meet certain needs or be on your way to quit your job?

broke or unemployed or tired of your job

…and thinking about what you can do online to make money, and go from being broke and unemployed to a business owner who offers real value to their clients?

Thinking about becoming a VA

…but don’t know where to start, already feeling overwhelmed by the plethora of information out there or maybe the lack of it and, needing someone to guide you?

Why You Should Start A Virtual Assistant Business!

VAs don’t need many things to get started. In fact, if you have a working laptop or computer and access to the internet, you already have all that you need! But let’s explore more reasons to become a Virtual Assistant;

No Formal Education Required

A secondary school dropout has about equal chances succeeding as a VA as a university graduate. In some cases, some clients I've worked with prefer VAs with less formal qualifications because those VAs are still willing and open to learning and won’t think they know everything.

No Certification or Lisencing Required

There is no form of certification required to become a VA. There is no “Association of Virtual Assistant Certification Program” that you have to apply to, to qualify to work as a VA. If you have the skills, and the client is willing to pay you, that’s all that matters.

Virtual Assisting is Location Independent

As a VA, you can help your clients from any part of the world. Yes, some clients might prefer their VAs to be in a specific time zone, but the majority of people out there don’t care, as long as their work is done well and on time with proper communication.

2020, I decided to start (officially) my Online Business, and between then and now, I have been able to make 5 figures (in dollars) from serving many different business owners.

… but it wasn’t always like that

There was a time when I was living with and living off my younger sister because I couldn’t afford anything. This isn’t some movie or fictional work.  No. This is reality, and in this reality, I couldn’t afford something as basic a bathing soap, pads, or anything else.

All I had were stories. Stories of all my failed ventures. I tried to start a food packaging & processing business and failed. I ran a baking business for 2 years and let it crash. I had 3 failed blogs and 1 abandoned blog, a failed coaching business (certified mindset and life coach here). I was a failure by all standards.

So, here I was, with incredible experiences and stories, profitable skills I was yet to realize or tap into.

Yet, here I was supremely broke. I was so broke that I couldn’t even afford to buy toiletries (and I’m a girl), I could only get stuff when my younger sister gets them for me.

To make matters worse, I couldn’t take a job. Since I got funding to start my business right after graduation, I never went back to school to pickup my degree.

In a Nutshell,

become a virtual assistant in Nigeria

Fell from grace (not your typical riches to rags story, but yes). Unemployed. Failed businesses. No source of income

🤫  Living with my younger sister and then moving to the village to stay with my mom.

😅 Flat broke. Moneyless. Cashless.

😭 Frustrated. Depressed. Depressed. Depressed. Wearing a mask on the outside and acting like all was well and then gradually isolating myself from friends and everyone else because I was so ashamed and tired of acting.

Then I hit 30! and the light bulb went off in my head!!

I was 30 and dead broke. This is not the life I wanted to live. This is not how I wanted to tell my story.
So, with this as my motivation, My wandering creative mind began to think of an escape plan. And I did
the only thing I thought would help:

Research!

I took my sister’s laptop (as I didn’t have one a the time) I went on Google and did what we all do…
